Air Niugini Achieves Accreditation for Dangerous Goods Training
Air Niugini has received its Certificate of Accreditation on Dangerous Goods (DG) training from International Air Transport Association (IATA), focusing on Competency-based Training and Assessments (CBTA) guidelines. This is a first, for an airline in PNG!Air Niugini’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Gary Seddon said the accreditation followed a stringent review of the dangerous goods regulations. CBTA is a new, mandated method of conducting and assessing DG training by International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and IATA.

Air Niugini Explores Long-Term Fleet Solutions for Domestic and Regional Markets
Air Niugini as part of its re-fleeting exercise is progressing its review of available options to ensure the airline secures a competitive and sustainable solution for its PNG domestic and regional network. The airline’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Bruce Alabaster said this when welcoming the team from Embraer who have flown in the latest E195 E2 regional jet into Port Moresby today for a demonstration flight.

Air Niugini Partners with PNG Office Works for Destination Enhancements
Air Niugini Destinations members can now redeem loyalty points with PNG Office Works Limited. PNG Office Works is offering customers who are Destinations members the opportunity to redeem loyalty points on selected stationery and electronic appliances at their shop located at 6 Mile in Port Moresby. The two-year partnership arrangement provides more options for members to redeem Destinations points in addition to redemption on airline tickets.

Air Niugini Temporarily Suspends Flights to Tufi
Air Niugini has suspended all flights to Tufi airport, Oro Province following a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by PNG Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), closing the airport to aircraft which have more than 20 seats. The suspension comes into effect this morning, Friday 03rd February and will continue until further notice. Air Niugini has been operating twice weekly to Tufi, every Monday and Friday. We regret the inconvenience caused however, the situation is beyond the airline�s control. Safety is always of paramount importance in our operations.

Review of Air Niugini’s Flight Schedule Performance
Air Niugini management is working hard to reduce some recent effects on the airlines schedule which has been affected by several external factors. While the airline ended 2022 on a high note with excellent OTP (On Time Performance) the new year has to date not continued this trend.Air Niugini�s General Manager, Commercial Paul Abbot said that several factors have combined and as a result has unfortunately meant customers are seeing a higher number of disrupted or downgraded flights than the airline would like.

Air Niugini Supports the 2023 Hiri Moale Festival
National airline, Air Niugini has come on board to support the 2023 Hiri Moale Festival, which is scheduled for March this year. The airline is providing travel for the winners and all contestants with the mix of domestic and international tickets at the total value of over K70,000. Air Niugini Launches Weekly Flights to Palau
Air Niugini will commence weekly services connecting Australia, Papua New Guinea and Palau effective 28th February 2023. Air Niugini, in partnership with the Australian government will service this route under the Australian government�s Pacific Flight Programme which underwrites flights during the initial establishment phase. The programme has supported over 450 flights in the Pacific since December 2020 and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic across 14 routes and 11 countries. This has helped keep Pacific communities connected, maintain supply chains and deliver critical medicines. The programme removes airlines� commercial risk operating an agreed flight, assuring regular and scheduled flights for passengers and cargo.

Air Niugini Restarts Domestic Flight Operations
Puma Energy have advised Air Niugini at 5pm today (Thursday 01st December) that they have resumed normal supply of fuel. Air Niugini therefore expects to resume operating a normal schedule by tomorrow.Our customers are advised to revalidate their travel to the next available flight.

RESTRICTION OF FUEL SUPPLIES IN PNG CAUSES CANCELLATION OF FLIGHTS
Air Niugini wishes to advise the travelling public that due to an ongoing dispute between Puma Energy and the Bank of PNG, Puma has decided to restrict the supply of fuel to Air Niugini and all other airlines effective from today.This restriction applies to Port Moresby and all the airports around PNG. Unfortunately, there is no alternative supplier of aviation fuel in most airports, including Port Moresby.

This payment option has been effective since Friday 18th November. It�s an exciting partnership with BSP Financial Group that diversifies Air Niugini�s payment options and allows any BSP account holder in Papua New Guinea to pay for their airline tickets online with total confidence.BSP Pay payment solution allows BSP account holders to carry out online payments on registered merchants without using their bank cards.
