Seating Preferences

We understand that every traveler has unique needs. That’s why Air Niugini offers a variety of seating options to help you personalize your travel experience. Whether you prefer extra legroom, a reclining seat, or proximity to the front of the cabin, we have a seat that fits your preferences. Seat assignments can be made in advance at the time of booking. If you already have a flight, you can also add your seat in Manage Your Booking on the website. Some seats are considered premium at may come at an additional cost.

Seating Categories

Tailor your travel experience to your specific needs and preferences by selecting a seat preference that meets your requirements. Take control of your travel experience and choose a seat preference that’s right for you.

Regular/Standard Seats

Located throughout the cabin, regular seats provide the standard level of comfort. These seats do not offer additional features like extra legroom or extended recline and are typically included at no extra charge.

Bulkhead Seats

Bulkhead seats are positioned near partitions that divide cabin sections. These seats usually offer extra legroom and are often considered premium due to their added comfort and proximity to the front of the plane.

Preferred Seats

Preferred seats are strategically located for maximum convenience, often near the front of the aircraft or close to exit rows. They may offer more legroom or enhanced recline. Preferred seats can be reserved for an additional fee or may be available as loyalty rewards.

Exit Row Seats

Exit row seats provide additional legroom but come with specific responsibilities in case of emergencies. Passengers must meet certain criteria to be eligible for these seats.

Exit Row Eligibility Restrictions: Passengers in exit row seats must be physically and mentally capable of assisting during emergencies. Therefore, the following passengers are not permitted to occupy these seats:

• Children under 15 years of age
• Travelers with reduced mobility or requiring assistance
• Passengers with intellectual or sensory impairments
• Parents traveling with infants
• Expectant mothers
• Passengers with medical conditions or under lawful custody

Please carefully consider your ability to fulfill these duties before selecting an exit row seat.

Premium Paid Seats

There are certain seats available for purchase by passengers. These seats are typically assigned and offered for free for Gold & Silver Executive club members as part of a loyalty program or as an upgrade. Paid seats can vary in price based on a variety of factors, such as the route and the seat type: Premium, Preferred or Exit. The price for each seat is per passenger for a single journey (taxes included).

• Convenience: Select seats near the front for quicker boarding and faster disembarkation.

Important Information

Air Niugini will make every effort to honor your selected seat. However, seat selection cannot be guaranteed due to safety, security, and operational reasons. In such cases, the airline reserves the right to assign an alternative seat.

For special seating needs such as medical or mobility accommodations, please inform Air Niugini at the time of booking to ensure suitable arrangements.
